Job Description

As one of our Computer Systems Consultants, you will need to convey our company image and values to our clients. This is a customer-facing role, so you will need to have strong communication skills. This is an IT role, so you need to be able to tolerate repetitive tasks. You will also need to be able to switch gears and be a “firefighter” whenever the situation calls for it. You need to be a creative person with a passion to keep learning new skills and techniques. Though you must also be prepared for occasional weekend or evening work, know that ALLFOUR is a firm believer of work/life balance and favours proactive, planned work rather than reactive, stressful work.

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team whether you are at the office or at the customer site.
  • Customer Service experience in the IT industry would be an asset, such as Help-Desk or deskside support.

Team Fitting Skills:

We pride ourselves on our company culture, best described as a tight-knit team of outgoing geeks. You might just be a fit if you are the type of person who:

  • Has a good sense of humor - possibly one that dips into technology, pop culture and science-fiction.
  • Is extremely passionate about computers and technology in general.
  • Can use that passion as a tool to improve things around you and to learn new things.
  • Doesn't confuse passion with stubbornness - you need to be flexible enough to consider new perspectives.
  • Isn't an outcast. You'll be spending a lot of time working with people with a variety of skillsets. Social skills are important to us and are must-haves for a customer-facing consultant.
  • Doesn't pretend to know it all. You don't. You can't. The thrill of constant learning and evolution is our standard.
  • Can keep your "cool" under fire.
  • Has an innate curiosity - an intrinsic desire to try and learn new technologies.
  • Is a Quick-learner with the ability to adapt to support challenges. Often in IT you'll find yourself supporting unknown applications, with little to go on except drawing on and extrapolating from previous knowledge.
  • Possesses a "No Task is Too Small" mentality. For instance, a server deployment might include cabling, physically installing the hardware on a rack (that you may even have had to assemble), then configuring the software to meet high-availability requirements, all while at a customer site. We literally do it all!

Additional Information:

Your work is often performed at the client's site. You must have a valid driver's licence and own a reliable car with winter tires for the winter seasons.
Due to the responsibility involved and manipulation of confidential information, we require Police Clearance, business and personal references.
